Restorative treatments

A crown is sometimes termed a “cap” or “jacket.” A crown will restore a large filling or a cracked tooth to its original size, shape and tooth color.

Metal fillings are virtually a thing of the past and at American River Dental we have the technology to replace any unattractive metal fillings with natural looking tooth-colored fillings making them almost invisible to the naked eye.

A cavity that has been left untreated can become larger. Once the cavity reaches the pulp of the tooth, an infection forms at the base of the root canal, causing an abscess.

We can correct many orthodontic problems without the hassle of traditional braces by using Invisalign!

Studies have shown links between periodontal (gum) disease, heart disease and other health conditions.

Situations where a filling might compromise tooth structure and where a full crown is not necessary, an inlay or onlay will be placed to restore tooth damage caused by a cavity or trauma.

There are situations where people should not be treated in an office, for these situations the use of general anesthesia in a hospital or surgery center may be the best option.
